Product Overview
Calcium Ammonium Nitrate (CAN) is our premium nitrogen fertilizer designed for global agriculture. It combines the rapid effectiveness of Ammonium Nitrate with the soil-conditioning benefits of Limestone (Calcium Carbonate).
Unlike standard Ammonium Nitrate, our CAN is non-explosive and safe for transport, making it the preferred nitrogen source for export markets in Europe, Latin America, and Asia. It provides crops with immediate nitrogen while simultaneously neutralizing soil acidity and supplying essential Calcium.
Production Methods
At Agro Poly Chem, we produce CAN using a efficient dry blending and compaction process, leveraging Uzbekistan's abundant resources and state-of-the-art facilities. Our method ensures high purity and consistency without the need for complex chemical reactions.

We start with high-grade granular ammonium nitrate (AN, 34% N). This is blended with locally quarried limestone powder (95% CaCO₃) from regions like Samarkand or Navoi.
AN (70-75%) and limestone (25-30%) are mixed in a pug mill or ribbon blender at ambient temperature for uniform distribution. The blend is compacted under 20-40 bar pressure and flaked into 2-4 mm granules using roller compactors.
Granules are dried to 0.3% moisture and cooled to 40°C in fluidized beds. Oversized/undersized particles are recycled, and granules are coated with anti-caking agents for enhanced flowability.
