Product Overview

Ammonium chloride is listed under GOST 2210-73 for technical purposes and certain fertilizer applications. The catalogue provides First and Second quality grades, with different minimum ammonium chloride content and maximum moisture and impurity levels.

For purchasing, the distinction between these two grades is central. The First grade specifies at least 99.6% ammonium chloride; the Second specifies at least 99.0%. An enquiry should identify the required grade and intended application, together with any additional acceptance limits in the buyer's technical specification.

The source places ammonium chloride in its mineral-fertilizer section while also identifying technical uses. Include the actual procurement application in the enquiry so the requested specification can be assessed in that context.

First Grade Specifications

Minimum ammonium chloride content is 99.6%, and maximum moisture is 0.2%. Sodium chloride is limited to 0.05%, carbonates calculated as ammonium carbonate to 0.01%, and water-insoluble substances to 0.02%.

The catalogue also limits sulfate, expressed as sodium sulfate, to 0.05%. Maximum heavy metals in the hydrogen-sulfide group are 0.0005%, and maximum arsenic is 0.0005%. These are separate parameters and should remain separately identified in a purchasing specification.

Second Grade Specifications

Minimum ammonium chloride content is 99.0%, and maximum moisture is 1.0%. Sodium chloride is limited to 0.1%, carbonates calculated as ammonium carbonate to 0.025%, and water-insoluble substances to 0.05%.

Maximum sulfate, expressed as sodium sulfate, is 0.1%. The heavy-metals limit for the hydrogen-sulfide group is 0.0025%, and the arsenic limit is 0.001%. Specify each required limit when the purchase is subject to a detailed analytical acceptance schedule.

Product Form

The catalogue describes powder or granules. First-grade appearance is described as white material with possible yellow or pinkish tinge; Second-grade material is described as white or slightly yellowish. State whether powder or granules are required, and confirm the quoted form with the grade specification.

Packaging

Listed packaging includes paper, bituminous, laminated and plastic bag formats. Special soft disposable containers are described by agreement. For certain small-shipment arrangements, the catalogue also describes additional packing in wooden barrels of 50 dm³ capacity.

No bag net weight is specified on this catalogue page. Include the required package type and net weight in the enquiry so those details can be confirmed for the quotation.
