Product Overview
Liquid chlorine is identified by the formula Cl2 and the product reference GOST 6718-93. The specification lists superior grade and first grade, with separate requirements for chlorine content, water and non-volatile residue.
For industrial purchasing, the required grade should be stated together with the intended application and complete acceptance specification. This allows the proposed product to be considered against the buyer's defined requirements and gives the quotation a clear technical basis.
Grade Comparison
Superior grade has a minimum chlorine volume fraction of 99.8%. First grade has a minimum chlorine volume fraction of 99.6%. These are volume-based content values, whereas the water and residue limits are expressed as mass fractions.
The maximum water mass fraction is 0.01% for superior grade and 0.04% for first grade. The maximum mass fraction of non-volatile residue is 0.0015% for superior grade and 0.10% for first grade.
The difference in these impurity limits is relevant when selecting the grade to discuss. Buyers should include the maximum water and residue levels accepted by their purchasing specification, together with the minimum chlorine content.
Specification Requirements
A product name or chlorine-content requirement alone does not describe the full acceptance criteria. If the intended application calls for additional quality limits or particular test methods, include those requirements with the enquiry.
The reference values provide a basis for initial comparison. The exact grade and agreed specification should be confirmed in the quotation for the proposed order. Buyers can supply an existing purchase specification to support a direct review of the requested and quoted limits.
Packaging
The documented packaging includes special containers with a capacity of 800 dm3, together with small- and medium-volume tanks. The proposed shipment format should be confirmed for the required quantity and destination.
State the preferred container or tank arrangement in the enquiry, along with any marking and shipment-document requirements. The reference capacity identifies a packaging format; the commercial offer should specify the actual arrangement proposed for the order.
Request A Quotation
Provide the required grade, quantity, destination and application. Include the minimum chlorine content, maximum water and non-volatile residue, and any additional acceptance criteria or analytical methods.
Ask for confirmation of the exact grade, agreed specification and packaging in the quotation. A complete enquiry helps your purchasing and technical teams review the product and shipment requirements using the same defined information.
