Product Overview
Soda ash light is identified by the formula Na2CO3 and the reference GOST 5100-85. The catalogue presents mark B, light, in highest, first and second quality grades. The listed appearance for these grades is white powder.
The product is described for glass production, nonferrous metals, petrochemicals, pulp and paper, steel, synthetic detergents and other industrial sectors. Buyers should identify the intended application and required quality grade when requesting an export quotation.
Sodium Carbonate Content
The minimum sodium carbonate mass fraction is 99.4% for highest quality and 99.0% for both first and second quality. The separate figures for uncalcined product are 98.9%, 98.2% and 97.5%, respectively.
The specification also gives maximum loss on calcination at 270–300°C of 0.5% for highest quality, 0.8% for first quality and 1.5% for second quality. These entries describe different analytical bases. Include the basis used by your purchase specification when comparing sodium carbonate content.
Impurity Limits
Chlorides expressed as NaCl are limited to 0.4%, 0.5% and 0.8% for highest, first and second quality. Iron expressed as Fe2O3 is limited to 0.003%, 0.003% and 0.008%, respectively.
The maximum water-insoluble content is 0.03% for highest quality, 0.04% for first quality and 0.08% for second quality. Sulfates expressed as Na2SO4 are specified at a maximum of 0.04% for highest quality and 0.05% for first quality.
These differences allow buyers to focus their enquiry on the limits relevant to the proposed application. A requirement for sodium carbonate content alone may leave chloride, iron or insoluble-content criteria unresolved. Include all applicable acceptance limits in the request.
Packaging
The documented bag format is a 35 kg polyethylene bag. The catalogue also identifies bulk shipment by railcar as a packing and transport option. The proposed arrangement should be confirmed for the requested quantity and destination.
State your preferred format, together with any bag marking or shipment-document requirements. This supports a quotation that addresses both the product specification and the intended order presentation.
