PRODUCT
Technical gaseous argon is identified by the symbol Ar and reference standard GOST 10157-79. The catalogue presents two sets of purity and impurity requirements. For a clear enquiry, identify the required minimum argon purity and the complete impurity schedule.

The first reference column specifies a minimum argon volume fraction of 99.993%; the second specifies 99.987%. These values allow the two reference specifications to be compared directly. A buyer's own gas designation should be accompanied by its numerical requirements.

DOCUMENTED APPLICATIONS
The catalogue identifies argon for metalworking and metallurgy, including protective atmospheres for welding, cutting and melting metals. It lists applications involving aluminium, aluminium alloys, alloy steels and other metal-processing industries.

Other documented uses include insulating-glass production, scientific research and high-technology applications such as laser manufacture and plasma-cutting equipment. The catalogue also lists food-industry packaging applications. A particular food, laboratory or other regulated use requires its own specification and documentation review.

PURITY AND IMPURITY COMPARISON
For the 99.993% minimum-argon specification, oxygen is limited to 0.0007% by volume and nitrogen to 0.005% by volume. Water vapour is limited to 0.0009% by volume. Carbon compounds, expressed as CO2, are limited to 0.0005% by volume.

For the 99.987% minimum-argon specification, oxygen is limited to 0.002% by volume and nitrogen to 0.01% by volume. Water vapour is limited to 0.001% by volume, and carbon compounds expressed as CO2 to 0.001% by volume.

These are volume fractions. Keep that basis with the numerical limits when comparing specifications. A nominal purity alone does not communicate the allowed distribution of oxygen, nitrogen, moisture and carbon-containing impurities.

PACKAGING
The documented package is a steel cylinder. The reference page does not establish cylinder capacity, gas quantity per cylinder or filling pressure. Buyers should include their required cylinder specification and gas quantity in the enquiry so the proposed supply format can be confirmed.

The catalogue states an 18-month storage warranty from manufacture. Any minimum remaining-life requirement at delivery should be identified in the purchase request.

REQUEST A QUOTATION
Provide the required purity or grade specification, gas quantity, destination and industrial application. Include the impurity limits relevant to the process, the required cylinder details and any batch certification requirements.

The quotation should confirm the agreed gas specification, cylinder format, supplied quantity, documentation and delivery terms. If your plant uses a different gas designation, attach its specification for comparison before selecting the reference purity level.
