Product Overview

Technical methanol is identified by the formula CH3OH and the reference GOST 2222-95. The specification distinguishes marks A and B, with differences in water content, distillation interval and selected impurity limits.

The catalogue describes gas-industry applications, including hydrate control associated with natural gas production and transport and natural gas drying. Buyers should identify the intended application and the exact grade required by their purchasing specification when preparing an enquiry.

Water And Distillation

The maximum water mass fraction is 0.05% for mark A and 0.08% for mark B. Both grades are described as mixing with water without cloudiness or opalescence.

The reference boiling limits are 64.0–65.5°C. Within those limits, the interval over which 99% of the product is distilled is specified at a maximum of 0.8°C for mark A and 1.0°C for mark B. The full boiling limits and the narrower distillation interval are separate characteristics.

If your purchase requirement includes a water maximum or distillation criterion, include the required analytical method and acceptance value in the enquiry. This helps establish a consistent basis for comparing the offered grade.

Additional Quality Limits

Free acids expressed as formic acid are limited to a maximum mass fraction of 0.0015% for both grades. Aldehydes and ketones expressed as acetone are limited to 0.003% for mark A and 0.008% for mark B.

The listed maximum mass fractions of chlorine and sulphur are each 0.0001% for both marks. These values can support an initial technical review, while any additional impurity requirements should be included in the buyer's complete specification.

The quotation should confirm the exact mark and agreed quality limits for the proposed order. A grade name and a complete acceptance specification provide a clearer purchasing reference than the product name alone.

Packaging

The documented formats include rail tanks, vehicle tanks and steel barrels with a capacity of 200 dm3. The barrel reference is GOST 13950. The proposed packing and delivery arrangement should be confirmed for the requested quantity and destination.

State any preferred packaging format, marking or shipment-document requirements with the enquiry so that they can be considered together with the technical specification.

Request A Quotation

Send the required grade, quantity, destination and application. Include the water, distillation and impurity limits essential to your purchase.
